Prairie State Energy Campus set a new industry standard for advanced coal energy production and needed to enter the market with a strong identity that emphasized its cutting-edge approach.  A positive story positions the brand as both efficient and responsible to investors, the government and neighboring communities.

Prairie State Energy Campus is an electric generation facility that provides clean, reliable and affordable power to hundreds of communities in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions.

Goals

Communicate the advanced technologies in Prairie State’s clean coal power generation and focus on ways the organization helps communities grow and prosper.

Strategy

Launch Prairie State’s brand identity and positioning with an emphasis on it’s advanced energy technologies and community-focused approach to business.

Approach

A broad set of branded communications tactics were developed to establish and build upon the organization’s corporate identity.  From mass audience deliverables like a video and corporate website, to targeted communications, Obata provided clear, consistent and thoughtful content.  Produced deliverables include HR materials, community reports, and an interactive app for its eight non-profit ownership entities.
