Position Overview

We are currently seeking a dedicated Sustainability and ESG Report Writer to join our dynamic organization. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with industry leaders, innovative companies, and forward-thinking organizations to craft impactful sustainability and ESG reports.

This position may be on-location or remote. Candidates are required to be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

As our Sustainability and ESG Report Writer, you will:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and synthesize data related to sustainability and ESG initiatives.
  • Translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and engaging narratives for our clients’ sustainability and ESG reports.
  • Conduct research and analysis to stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Ensure accuracy and compliance with reporting standards, frameworks, and guidelines.
  • Develop compelling storytelling strategies that highlight our clients’ sustainability achievements and impact.
  • Review and edit reports to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their unique goals and objectives and tailor reports accordingly.
  • Assist with project management to ensure clear client communication, accurate deliverables, and timely responses.

Qualifications & Skills

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Bachelor’s degree is required. MBA or a master’s degree is desirable.
  • Three to five years experience in sustainability and ESG reporting and corporate communications.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills, with a talent for storytelling.
  • Proven experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of sustainability frameworks and initiatives such as GRI, SASB, TCFD, and UN SDGs.
  • Familiarity with ESG data sources and metrics.
  • Avid learner, with strong research and analytical abilities.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Experience with proposal/contract writing.
  • Strong technical aptitude and skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital applications required.
