OBATA designed these award-winning annual reports for Fortune Brands Home & Security. Fortune Brands is a home and security products company built on industry-leading brands and innovative cabinetry, plumbing, door and security products.
2015 ANNUAL REPORT
The Story Begins
OBATA worked collaboratively with Fortune Brands to organize content into a structure and attractive design that facilitates an understanding of the company’s positioning and visualizes the company’s strong performance data.
By grounding our work in an understanding of the company’s goals, challenges, strategies and audiences, we delivered a creative solution that will lead their audience to better understand and embrace Fortune Brand’s investment proposition.
RECOGNITION: 2015 LACP VISION AWARDS
The report received the Platinum Award for excellence in LACP’s Annual Report Competition. Judging results received a total score of 99 out of a possible 100. The annual report was recognized as:
- 2015 Platinum Winner Worldwide
- Top 100 Annual Reports worldwide, ranking at #13 among all reports worldwide
- Most Engaging Report Worldwide

The Story Continues
Fortune Brands’ investment mantra “Maximizing Long-Term Value” has remained consistent and unwavering.
This year Obata reinforced the company’s mantra with the declaration “It’s What We Do.” To add visual impact, we used a full-page product photo highlighting a close-up detail of a “hot” faucet valve. It was a great visual to segue into the company’s five years of remarkable growth achievements as well as highlight one of the company’s recent acquisitions.
